World Heritage Marine Programme Reception
Member site manager for Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument and World Heritage Site, ʻAulani Wilhelm, spoke on the important role World Heritage could play for conserving marine ecosystems––jewels of the ocean.
World Heritage Marine Programme Director Fanny Douvere (at left) and Dan LaFoley, currently Senior Advisor for Marine Science and Conservation for the Global Marine and Polar Programme, and Marine Vice Chair for the World Commission on Protected Areas.
The World Heritage Marine Programme Reception was attended by conference goers from the Second International Marine Conservation Congress, as well as invited guests; all enjoyed an evening of great presentations, good food and music.
